Critical Clues about Cancer-Causing Gene

September 10, 2012

Mayo Clinic researchers have uncovered critical clues on how pancreatic cancer develops and why few patients benefit from current treatment therapies. The findings show that it takes more than a cancer-causing gene to trigger pancreatic cancer. The results also provide ideas about how to improve treatment and prevention of pancreatic cancer. The study is published in the Sept. 10 issue of Cancer Cell.

Sound bites with study author, Howard Crawford, Ph.D., are available in the downloads.
