    Destination Medical Center Corporation Holds First Meeting – Elects Chair

The Destination Medical Center (DMC) Corporation board's first meeting was convened, August 9th, by Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton. The board addressed general business and elected its first chairperson, Tina Flint Smith. Smith is Governor Dayton's Chief of Staff.

Destination Medical Center (DMC) green and white logoThe DMCC board will oversee the state’s largest-ever economic development project and be responsible for leveraging an estimated $5.6 billion in Mayo Clinic and private investment over the next 20 years. The strategic initiative is expected to create tens of thousands of new jobs and secure Minnesota’s competitive position as the premier global destination for health care and medical advancement.
