November is American Diabetes Month and Diabetic Eye Disease Month.  On the next Mayo Clinic Radio, Saturday, November 1 at 9 a.m. CT, we’ll discuss the prevention, detection and treatment of diabetes with endocrinologist and diabetes expert Adrian Vella, M.D., and ophthalmologist Sophie Bakri, M.D.   Do you know 13 percent of Americans have diabetes and 37 percent are pre-diabetic, meaning they are likely to develop diabetes?  It's also estimated that one-third of the babies born today will become diabetic in their lifetime.  Please join us to learn more.
