Robotic Bladder Surgery (pkg)
Using robots to perform surgery doesn't sound like science fiction anymore. The fact is robots can be seen in an increasing number of operating rooms these days. The technology allows surgeons to perform complicated operations less invasively, and that means patients can get back to their lives more quickly and with fewer complications. Vivien Williams reports on a patient who had his bladder removed and a new one, called a neobladder, reconstructed by Mayo Clinic surgeons with help from a robot. [TRT 1:54 ]
