We have had more success identifying NP candidates, but it has been difficult to find qualified CNS candidates for our open positions. This is a career specialty that will continue to grow in demand. Evaluate your long-term career goals and desires in Nursing. In pursuit of a specialty – including research and teaching, career diversity, and leadership, the Certified Nursing Specialist is a path worth considering.

I am trying to decide which one will be more in demand in the future. Have you noticed a significant difference?

They often get a bad rap or at least not enough recognition for all that they put themselves through. It is understandably daunting at times, and on top of having to carry on a completely separate life, being a nurse definitely has its ups and downs.
