Contralateral prophylactic mastectomy: Mayo Clinic Radio Health Minute

It's not uncommon for women undergoing mastectomy to treat breast cancer to also have their healthy breast removed. It's called contralateral prophylactic mastectomy. But the American Academy of Breast Surgeons is not recommending the practice, at least not for all women. In this Mayo Clinic Radio Health Minute, Dr. Judy Boughey explains why.
