I am NOT from Minnesota but have been here for 2 years and find the weather easier to adjust to than I expected. Yes, “cold” takes on a deeper meaning, but the subways, skyways and Mayo’s help with the shuttle services make winter easier to contend with. Summers are glorious (I wouldn’t even consider leaving the state during June/July/August.) The city has everything one needs and if you want more, it’s a short drive to St. Paul/Minneapolis.
