Dr. Steve Ommen, a cardiologist at Mayo Clinic, discusses Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy. Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy is the abnormal thickening of the heart muscle. This thickening interferes with the heart's functions by reducing blood flow into and out of the heart chambers.
