Mayo has great diagnosticians and surgeons–but really falls down on managing the care of a patient with multiple conditions. Because of a process and coordination slip up (one of many we experienced over six months), my husband’s needed surgery was postponed and he died four days after the original surgery date–and we won’t share this Thanksgiving as a result.
