It does my family so much good to read about your miracle, as my sister-in-law was just diagnosed with melanoma. They have already removed a large tumor against her brain, but she has 11 other spots in her body. She started radiation on her brain yesterday, and is scheduled to start Yervoy after that. It is all such a shock, and we know that only a miracle from our good Lord will bring her through this. Thank you, and God bless you all!!!

I am touched by your story and those feelings of being in the right hands. I am a nurse and was told I did not have breast cancer in Canada until 8 months later. I was at the Mayo in a week for a second opinion and found 3 tumours were missed. The Mayo saved my life and everyday I try to help others, spread the news of the Mayo and its work and thank Dr Donaghue for his tight surgical schedule to fit me in. They are saints.

I am from Fort Wayne, IN also. I completely understand the respect and admiration that you have for the Mayo Clinic. I too have had wonderful care from the physicians and staff at the Rochester campus. I think many other physicians and facilities could learn from the Mayo Clinic example.
