- Probiotics are popular dietary supplements frequently used by those with celiac disease. A new study finds that most of those supplements contain traces of hidden gluten which may make conditions worse for people living with celiac disease. Mayo Clinic gastroenterologist Dr. Yuri Saito says it's important to check with your doctor before taking probiotics because different formulations may contain different ingredients.
