They have placed nephrostomy tubes in both kidneys that are not working as well and now she has a fistula causing vaginal drainage of urine. I believe now that she has urine coming out of her colostomy. She is currently in he hospital and is most likely going to have a reconstruction. We have been to the Mayo in Rochester and have seen Dr.Sima. We are not sure we want to have the surgery in our area due to she is and has a very complex case of multiple issues. We have been given some statistics and I am curios of your opinions and she only has one shot at this due to she does not have enough colon for any mistakes.

Dr. Karnes says patients are not candidates after the fact. There might be an opportunity for a catheterizable continent urinary diversion depending on patient and much more details. He would recommend you either make an appointment with a specialist in this area either here or at your nearest tertiary medical center.
