What an inspiring story! I wish Nicole the best. I have sent a donation for her run.

Way to go Nicole. I have had to hear "not medically necessary" more than once for my family member. He also is an amputee, right leg below the knee. He lived in the bush in Alaska for about 40 years. Like you, he can still run circles around folks with both legs. He too, needed a replacement prosthesis and they almost didn't give him an adequate leg and foot that would have been necessary to continue his lifestyle. Thankfully we were able to get it cleared. Stay strong and know that folks are out there rooting for you!

Good for you, good luck!
