Treating gynecologic cancers: Mayo Clinic Radio Health Minute

Gynecologic cancersare cancers that start in a woman’s reproductive organs. The five main types are: cervical, endometrial, ovarian, vaginal and vulvar cancer. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, every year more than 80,000 women in the U.S. are told they have a gynecologic cancer, and more than 25,000 women die from these diseases. In this Mayo Clinic Radio Health Minute, Dr. Jamie Bakkum-Gamez, a gynecologic surgeon at Mayo Clinic, will cover diagnosis, treatment and prevention of gynecologic cancers.
