I have fatigue and horrible neuropathy in both legs. I had Rituximab about 6 yrs ago and have been prescribed numerous meds – most recently Lyrica and Tramadol for pain. I just applied for an exam at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Fla. I am praying for a positive response. I would really like to communicate with others who have a diagnosis of WM and are also symptomatic. Peace & Blessings.

Diagnosis at an age less than mid-30’s is very rare. Recently, I because aware of a 19-year old female in Australia diagnosed with WM. From a “support” standpoint, your son may be interested in being in contact with her. I’d encourage you to join the support discussion list devoted solely to patients with WM – IWMF-TALK. You can find more information about it at: http://www.iwmf.com/services/iwmf-talk.aspx

Best of health to you, and especially, your son!

My son is dx with Waldenstoms and he is 28 years old……

also h e have a consult at Dana Farber and is now being treated at U of M..
Would Mayo have a different protocol than treatment with velcade and plasmapharsis?
