Weight gain in middle age: Mayo Clinic Radio Health Minute

A common problem for women as they age is weight gain. On average, women in their 50s and 60s gain 1.5 pounds per year. Hot flashes, sleep disturbances and mood changes during menopause can disrupt what was otherwise a healthy lifestyle. A recent study looked at the risks and challenges of weight gain for middle-aged women. In this Mayo Clinic Radio Health Minute, Dr. Ekta Kapoor, an endocrinologist at Mayo Clinic and lead author of the study discusses the findings.
