What Causes Infant Hip Instability

This is valuable information. When I asked for palliative care services for my family member, her medical team became very concerned, as if I was asking to withdraw her other cares. Perhaps that particular team was not familiar with the difference? I feel that palliative care options should be presented standardly to all appropriate patients, much like asking if they have a living will on file.

is there any difference reguarding reimbursment rates? While attending a recent family members end of life process, insurance did play a factor in the route chosen.

From the info from my dad's oncologist (not at Mayo), the palliative chemo he is receiving now will greatly increase the amount of time he has, as well as keep control future levels of discomfort. Without it, they gave him less than a year in summer of 2012. It is now 2014 and he is going strong with minimal tumor growth and very little new metastasis. Perhaps Mayo has a different definition based on the above information than other oncologists in MN. Could this be?

Thank you so much for adding this article. I often come across this in my practice and have found people to be confused by it. I appreciate the clarification for all to read.
