ROCHESTER, Minn. — Mayo Clinic announced today the launch of the Mayo Clinic app, available as a free download from Apple’s App Store. The Mayo Clinic app integrates with Apple Health, providing users a clear and current overview of their health and fitness data. Mayo Clinic’s flagship mobile app, which will replace the current patient app, was first announced during the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference in June.
"We are committed to a connected health strategy that puts patients at the center of health care technology development," says John T. Wald, M.D., medical director, Mayo Clinic Public Affairs. "Users of the new Mayo Clinic app will have easier access to health information, guidance and care when they need it most. Through the Apple Health app, users will be able to integrate information from other apps with their Mayo Clinic health information, creating actionable data to improve health and wellness."
