MAYO CLINIC RADIO
October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and we will do our part on the next program with a discussion about the genetics of breast cancer and how breast cancer patients can best weather the storm of a diagnosis. Saturday, (Oct. 12) our guests will include Stephanie Hines, M.D., from the Breast Clinic at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Fla., and Toni Kay Mangskau from the Cancer Education Program at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn.
We will discuss how breast cancer is being detected and what to do if you are diagnosed. We will also talk about empowering patients and the support people who are in the thick of it with the patient. And we’ll talk about the latest chapter of breast cancer – the genetics of both the patient and the tumor. We hope you’ll join us.
Note: You can hear the program LIVE Saturdays at 9 am CT on I Heart Radio via KROC AM. The show is taped for rebroadcast by some affiliates. On Twitter follow #MayoClinicRadio and tweet your questions.
