    Mayo Clinic participates in Arab Health 2023 convention

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates — Mayo Clinic will participate in Arab Health 2023 in the United Arab Emirates. Mayo Clinic has a long history of serving patients from across the region.

Mayo Clinic will have a booth during the convention, which is from Jan. 30–Feb. 2 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The Mayo Clinic booth is in H7 A10.

"We look forward to returning to Arab Health, as the region is a future hub for innovation, medical education and research," says Mohamad Bydon, M.D., Mayo Clinic neurosurgeon and executive medical director of academic affairs and the Europe, Middle East, India and Africa regions. "Through its work in the region, Mayo Clinic is committed to providing the highest-quality medical care to patients in the UAE and beyond."

Dr. Bydon will be available for media interviews. He can discuss innovation at Mayo Clinic, including cell therapy for neurological spinal conditions, minimally invasive surgery and robotics. He can elaborate on the rise of robotics in surgical procedures across specialties, the benefits to patients and the effects on the accuracy of surgical methods.

Dr. Bydon is the Charles B. and Ann L. Johnson Professor of Neurosurgery and is an expert in complex spinal surgery and spinal oncology. He is the editor of "Back and Neck Health: Mayo Clinic Guide to Treating and Preventing Back and Neck Pain."
