Mayo Clinic in Rochester was ranked No. 9 in the nation by Newsweek in its list of "America’s Best Fertility Clinics," released in February. This ranking is a testament to the dedication and expertise of the Reproductive endocrinology and infertility team at Mayo Clinic in Rochester.

"Our clinic is in the top 10 among the 100 top fertility clinics," says Samir Babayev, M.D., Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility, IVF Clinical Director. "This is a recognition of the excellence our team strives for in patient care, teaching, research, and education."

The reproductive endocrinology and reproductive team understand the challenges of infertility, as the team has been committed to advancing fertility care and researching tools and techniques to help patients since 1989. The group comprises dedicated nurses, providers, and embryologists who have personal experience with infertility and can relate to the struggles of families both locally and worldwide.

The team not only has extensive experience and a solid commitment to fertility care, but also has the advantage of having specialized reproductive surgery and leading-edge IVF laboratory equipped with advanced technologies.

"Mayo Clinic IVF laboratory is a state-of-the-art facility equipped with the most advanced technologies such as an air filtration system, time-lapse embryo culture, and fertility preservation for all age and gender groups. Aligned with Mayo’s model of patient first, our top priority is to provide the best quality of patient care while offering a full range of fertility services, " says Yulian Zhao, M.D., Ph.D., IVF Lab Director.

"Our team is committed to providing unparalleled excellence through innovative and compassionate fertility care," says Zaraq Khan, M.B.B.S., Division chair of Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility. "Being in the top 10 list is a testament to the hard work of all division members. We remain committed to helping our patients in their journey of family building, and hope that this acknowledgment is meaningful to our patients as well."

The Newsweek rankings are based on physicians and other fertility medicine professionals survey results along with key performance indicators and accreditation data to produce a listing of the top 100 fertility clinics in the country.
