A new study by Mayo Clinic researchers observed higher diabetes rates in rural vs urban areas. However, they found it was linked to risk factors that can be changed, such as inactivity and obesity. With the right tools to help them take control of their health, rural Americans may be able to significantly reduce their diabetes risk.
