Mayo Clinic Announces a Performance by Accordionist Dan ‘Daddy Squeeze’ Newton for the Rosemary and Meredith Willson Harmony for Mayo Program
ROCHESTER, Minn. — Mayo Clinic Center for Humanities in Medicine invites the public to attend a free concert by accordion player, composer and arranger Dan Newton.
WHAT: Minneapolis-based Dan 'Daddy Squeeze' Newton will perform vintage swing, Latin, American and French Café music. Newton has produced more than a dozen recordings, has appeared at Lincoln Center in New York and performed internationally at festivals in Winnipeg, Canada and Vienna. He is also a frequent guest on Garrison Keillor's "A Prairie Home Companion." Newton leads several bands, including Jumbo Ya Ya, Rockin' Pinecones and the Daddy Squeeze Trio.
