Mayo Clinic hospitals receive Outstanding Patient Experience awards from Healthgrades

Six Mayo Clinic hospitals were recognized with the 2025 Outstanding Patient Experience Award by Healthgrades, an independent healthcare ratings company that provides patients with information on hospitals and physicians.
Mayo Clinic hospitals in Arizona, Florida and Rochester, as well as Mayo Clinic Health System hospitals in Mankato, Minnesota, and Eau Claire and La Crosse, Wisconsin, were recently recognized with the 2025 Outstanding Patient Experience Award by Healthgrades, an independent healthcare ratings company that provides patients with information on hospitals and physicians
Healthgrades recognized 377 hospitals from 44 states, representing the top 15% of hospitals in the nation for patient experience.
Healthgrades also recognized 40 hospitals in 2025 with both the Outstanding Patient Experience Award and the America's Best Hospitals Distinction. Mayo Clinic hospitals in Arizona, Florida and Rochester, along with Mayo Clinic Health System hospitals in Eau Claire and Mankato, were among this distinguished group that received both awards.
Additionally, only 10 hospitals nationwide received all three 2025 distinctions from Healthgrades: Outstanding Patient Experience, Patient Safety Excellence, and America's Best Hospitals.
Mayo Clinic in Arizona and Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato were among this elite group, earning what Healthgrades calls the "Triple Crown."
These recognitions are intended to help patients evaluate and compare hospital performance and evaluate hospitals for overall clinical excellence.
"These recognitions reflect the exceptional dedication of our staff to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care," says Sean Dowdy, M.D., chief value officer at Mayo Clinic. "At Mayo Clinic, we don’t just meet expectations. We set the bar for what an outstanding patient experience should be. These results reaffirm what our patients consistently tell us — that the care they receive at Mayo is compassionate, seamless and unlike anywhere else."
For the Outstanding Patient Experience Award, Healthgrades evaluated patient experience in U.S. hospitals using the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems patient survey data released in November 2024 by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. The data was collected from patients surveyed between Jan. 1, 2023, and Dec. 31, 2023.
Many agencies assess quality in healthcare, and Mayo Clinic is the only healthcare organization that consistently ranks among the world's top providers, regardless of the quality measure used.
