    Mayo Clinic Minute: Millennials, Sex and STDs

Between that and the availability of dating or hook-up apps, you'd think promiscuity among young adults would be on the rise. A study in the journal Archives of Sexual Behavior shows it's not. Millennials are having less sex than GenXers. The study suggests one reason may be a heightened awareness about sexually transmitted diseases, or STDs.

Despite the lower rate of sex among millennials, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) says STDs are on the rise. Reporter Vivien Williams talks to Mayo Clinic infectious diseases specialist Dr. Pritish Tosh about the CDC's push to protect people from STDs.
