Fortune magazine recently named Mayo Clinic to its 2009 “100 Best Companies to Work For” list, marking the sixth consecutive year that Mayo has made the magazine’s list of companies that rate high with employees.
According to the Great Places to Work Institute, the company that researches and compiles the list for Fortune, the most important factor in selecting companies for the list is “what employees themselves have to say about their workplaces.”
In the video below Tripp Welch, Mayo’s Fortune magazine audit coordinator, offers some insight into what employees said makes Mayo such a great place to work, as well as his thoughts on what it means for Mayo to make a list such as this.
If you're a Mayo Clinic employee, here's your chance to say why you came to Mayo, what you enjoy most about your work, and why you stay here. Please share your thoughts in the comments below.
