We are deeply saddened by the tragic violence that claimed the lives of Minnesota House Speaker Emerita Melissa Hortman and her husband, and left Minnesota State Senator John Hoffman and his wife injured. We offer our condolences to the Hortman family and wish Senator Hoffman and his wife a full and swift recovery.

Mayo Clinic has immense respect and gratitude for these public servants whose leadership and partnership have helped advance the health and well-being of communities across Minnesota.
