New Rochester Construction Updates webpage launches for patients
The Mayo Clinic in Rochester Construction Updates webpage was launched to help patients and their loved ones navigate to appointments across Mayo Clinic's downtown Rochester, Minnesota, campus.
Construction as part of Bold. Forward. Unbound. in Rochester kicked off this fall, marking an exciting milestone in Mayo Clinic's Bold. Forward. strategy to Cure, Connect and Transform healthcare for the benefit of patients everywhere.
While work begins to transform the downtown campus, Mayo Clinic is also ensuring that patients can continue to access the Category-of-One care that makes Mayo Clinic in Rochester a global destination for hope and healing.
"We know that our patients plan for their appointments at Mayo Clinic days, weeks, even months in advance," says Dr. Craig Daniels, physician lead for Mayo Clinic's Bold. Forward. Unbound. in Rochester. "We are excited to offer this resource for patients and their loved ones as they plan for their visit to Rochester."
The new webpage features helpful tools, updates and information to ensure patients arrive safely for appointments, including best routes to appointments and information on road closures and construction. The homepage includes a patient parking and drop-off navigator, where users can input the location of their first appointment to see recommended options for self-parking, drop-off and valet. These recommendations will be updated regularly as construction progresses.
Patients can access the new webpage via links in pre-appointment text messages from Mayo Clinic, a new banner featured on each Patient Appointment Guide, and through the online Patient & Visitor Guide, which includes additional resources to help prepare for upcoming appointments.
For patients who prefer to speak to someone directly, Mayo Clinic's Patient Appointment Intake teams can answer questions about how to navigate construction during standard pre-appointment phone calls.
While the new webpage will serve as a resource for Mayo Clinic patients, the general public should continue to consult the City's Construction Impacts Map for all road closures and traffic updates across Rochester.
