Content/Format -After becoming a member, you will enter Mayo Clinic News Network through a password protected url on our home page. You will be able to preview the story, then choose what type of documentation, video, and audio meets your needs.
Deliverables- Will be proactive, (breaking news) reactive (response to news of the day) and evergreen (undated material focused on healthy living).
It is our goal to deliver as many options as possible on each story. Our award-winning editorial team will make these decisions on a case-by-case basis.
Updates -To help you plan, you will receive regular notifications of important stories, which will also appear on the top of our page in a crawl format.
Script or News Release - Every story will contain a pdf document
Video Format- All video can be embedded or downloaded in MOV and MP4
Video Feeds- Depending on the story, video will be sent as:
Sound on Tape (SOT)- Interviews with experts and patients.
B-Roll (video) -Video of location and activity of story subject
Packages PKGS- Narrated voice track and a natural sound version of edited report
Audio-Will be fed in a MP3 format
Audio (Actualities) Interviews with experts and patients
Pictures- Will be accessible as jpg files
News blog - Stories originating from Mayo Clinic News Network will be posted onto the Mayo Clinic News Blog for the public. The News Blog will publish elements from the story, but Mayo Clinic Network will house more in-depth content, including more video, interviews, and documentation aimed specifically for journalists. We want to give you as many tools as possible to produce a compelling report.
Calendar (can we put a link on the calendar that will explain this) - The editorial team at Mayo Clinic News Network will update this calendar with upcoming health, science, research events, conferences, and news events.
Archive - Material posted on Mayo Clinic News Network will be carefully tagged by condition and topic. When looking for a story simply type in your terms in the search box in the upper right which will contain stories that have been published. The story you locate will include the same multi-media elements of video, audio, and text as it did at the time of delivery.
