Mayo Family Clinic Kasson offers patients primary and specialized health care services and is home to the Mayo Family Medicine Residency Program. The renovation project will create new space and reconfigure existing space to support the delivery of patient care. It will allow for additional patient privacy and safety through redesigned lobby and expanded hallway space. Laboratory and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation services will be relocated near the front of the building to allow patients with easier and convenient access. In addition, the renovation will support collaboration and efficiency for the multidisciplinary care teams in delivering a comprehensive, seamless care experience for patients.

“As one of the only primary care clinics in Dodge County, this renovation and expansion is an investment in the community and in the health and well-being of our patients,” says David Agerter, M.D., medical director, Mayo Clinic Employee and Community Health. “This supports our efforts to make Mayo Clinic services, both face to face and non-visit care opportunities, accessible and convenient in our communities.”

The clinic at 411 W. Main St. was built by the City of Kasson in 1977 and purchased by Mayo Clinic in 1985. Expansion projects were completed in 1989 and 1995.The 2015 renovation will add nearly 4,200 square feet of space to the clinic, expanding it to more than 25,000 square feet when completed. The project also includes remodeling of another 8,600 square feet of existing space to create a more uniform look and feel throughout the facility.

Mayo Family Clinic Kasson will remain open to patients during the renovation project. Reducing inconvenience for patients during construction will be part of the final construction planning. Additional updates about the project will be shared as the project timeline is finalized and throughout the renovation and expansion.
