    Osteoporosis Prevention: Mayo Clinic Radio

Do you know the incidence of osteoporosis fractures is greater than the annual incidence of heart disease and stroke combined? Also, that there are approximately 2 million fragility fractures per year and that number is expected to double by 2014?

On Saturday, March 8,  we talk with Ann Kearns, M.D., Ph.D., and Sanjeev Kakar, M.D. about osteoporosis.  We'll discuss what it is, the symptoms and the risk factors. We'll also talk about how it's diagnosed and what can be done to prevent it.
