    Mayo Clinic ranked top hospital in Florida by U.S. News & World Report

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Once again, Mayo Clinic has been named the best hospital in Florida and the Jacksonville metro area in U.S. News & World Report’s annual list of top hospitals published today on the U.S. News & World Report website.

Mayo Clinic’s Florida campus ranked nationally among the top 50 hospitals in seven specialties:

Mayo Clinic’s Florida campus also was highly ranked in Nephrology, Orthopedics, and Urology.

Mayo Clinic’s Florida campus provides diagnosis, medical treatment, surgery and care for more than 111,000 patients each year in 40 specialty areas. Mayo has 6,100 staff members in Florida and contributes $2 billion to the Florida economy.

Beyond Florida

Beyond Florida, Mayo Clinic Hospital – Rochester in Rochester, Minnesota, was named the best hospital in the country on U.S. News & World Report’s Honor Roll. Mayo Clinic’s Rochester campus also took the No. 1 spot in Minnesota. And Mayo Clinic’s Arizona campus is No. 1 in Arizona and the Phoenix metro area.

This is the 28th year that U.S. News & World Report conducted a rankings list, which encompasses 16 medical specialties. U.S. News & World Report analyzes data for 4,500 medical centers to determine the rankings announced today on.
