Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital was founded in 1994 by philanthropist-businessman Sir Run Run Shaw. Mayo Clinic developed the first integrated, multispecialty group practice more than 150 years ago. Today, Mayo Clinic is the largest nonprofit group practice in the world, serving about 1.3 million patients annually. Mayo Clinic is dedicated to providing patient care with respect, quality and excellence. Mayo Clinic doctors from every medical specialty work together to advance medical knowledge through research and education, and apply that knowledge to medical care.
“Mayo Clinic is pleased to collaborate with Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital to share our knowledge and information,” says David Hayes, M.D., medical director, Mayo Clinic Care Network. “Collaboration is at the heart of both organizations. It benefits health care. It benefits communities. But, most of all, it benefits patients. We look forward to working closely together.”
To become a member of the Mayo Clinic Care Network, Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital underwent a comprehensive evaluation to ensure that it shares with Mayo Clinic a common philosophy, commitment and mission to improve the delivery of health care through high-quality, data-driven, evidenced-based medical care.
