• Springing Our Body Clocks Ahead

Seems fitting that National Sleep Awareness Week should end on Sunday March 11th, when we 'technically' lose an hour of sleep.  Daylight Saving Time means moving our clocks ahead an hour and Mayo Clinic's Director of The Sleep Disorders Center, Dr. Joseph Kaplan, has this advice.

Sleep Tips:

  • After the time change, try to get exposure to strong morning light.
  • Reduce stimuli at bedtime.
  • Keep your bedroom cook, quiet and dark.
  • Maintain consistent sleep/wake patterns.
  • Try to follow a bedtime routine.
