Mayo Clinic joins community efforts urging people to #StoptheSpread during COVID-19 pandemic

Jeff Bolton, Mayo Clinic's chief administrative officer, joins other community leaders in Rochester, Minn., in sharing the message that the best defense against COVID-19 is for people to stay home.

ROCHESTER, Minn. —  As the number of COVID-19 cases continue to climb in local communities and around the world, Mayo Clinic has joined Rochester community leaders in a message urging people to stay home.

"Staying home now will help you, your family, neighbors, friends and health care providers in the fight against COVID-19," says Jeff Bolton, Mayo Clinic's chief administrative officer, in a video message.

Jeff Bolton was joined by Mayor Kim Norton; Graham Briggs, director, Olmsted County Public Health; Kathleen Harrington, president, Rochester Chamber of Commerce; and Randy Hemann, M.D., chief medical officer, Olmsted Medical Center.
