Mayo Clinic ranks high in Fair360’s ‘Top Companies for Fairness’ survey
Mayo Clinic ranked highly among the "Top Hospitals and Health Care Systems” in Fair360’s annual rankings
Mayo Clinic ranked high in Fair360’s annual Top 50 Companies for Fairness list. It was formerly known as DiversityInc’s Top 50 Companies for Diversity.
Mayo was ranked No. 5 among Hospitals and Healthcare Systems for Fairness, No. 11 for Talent Acquisition for Women of Color and No. 17 for Board Diversity. This year, more than 160 organizations, most of them Fortune 500 companies, participated in the survey. This was Mayo Clinic’s 13th straight year of being ranked and its fourth consecutive year in the top 5 for Hospitals and Healthcare Systems.
Fair360's annual survey gauges how U.S. companies with more than 750 staff members sustain diversity efforts.

Our Fair360 ranking reflects our ongoing efforts," says Dr. Anjali Bhagra, medical director of the Office of Equity, Inclusion and Diversity.
Mayo Clinic has long embraced diversity and inclusion, and initiatives continue throughout the organization as opportunities to advance equity remain.
"As someone who has worked for Mayo Clinic for more than 30 years, it brings me joy to see our strong Fair360 rankings, which to me are a testament to our efforts to build and nurture a diverse workforce," says Barbara Jordan, administrator of the Office of Equity, Inclusion and Diversity. "I’m inspired daily by our colleagues of all backgrounds and identities who make Mayo Clinic so welcoming for our patients and staff. I know collectively we will continue to move forward in our equity, inclusion and diversity efforts."
To participate in Fair360’s "Top Hospitals and Healthcare Systems for Fairness" ranking, Mayo Clinic submitted a detailed self-assessment, including practices and outcomes.
Through the survey, organizations in the healthcare industry were ranked on:
- Human capital diversity metrics.
- Leadership accountability.
- Talent programs.
- Workplace practices.
- Supplier diversity.
- Philanthropy.
