Mayo Clinic ranked No. 1 in 5 specialties nationwide in Newsweek’s ‘Best Hospitals for Specialized Care’

Mayo Clinic hospitals in Arizona, Florida, Rochester and Mayo Clinic Health System have earned top rankings across seven medical specialties in Newsweek's "America's Best Hospitals for Specialized Care in 2026."
Mayo Clinic in Rochester was ranked No. 1 nationally in five of seven specialties evaluated — more than any other hospital — in Newsweek's "America's Best Hospitals for Specialized Care in 2026."
Building on last year's results, Mayo Clinic in Rochester increased its No. 1 national specialty rankings from four to five, including a No. 1 ranking in gastrointestinal care, a specialty newly evaluated by Newsweek this year.
Mayo Clinic in Rochester was ranked No. 1 for cardiac, endocrine, gastrointestinal, neurological and pulmonary care and No. 2 for cancer care and orthopedic care — earning top two national rankings in all seven specialties. Mayo Clinic in Arizona, Mayo Clinic in Florida and Mayo Clinic Health System hospitals in Eau Claire and La Crosse, Wisconsin and Albert Lea and Austin and Mankato, Minnesota were also recognized.
Mayo Clinic in Arizona and Florida were the top-ranked hospitals in their respective states across all seven specialties. Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire was top-ranked in Wisconsin in five specialties: cancer, cardiac, gastrointestinal, orthopedic and pulmonary care.
This year's list highlights hospitals excelling in seven medical specialties: the top 200 hospitals for cancer care, cardiac care, endocrine care, neurological care, orthopedic care, and pulmonary care and the top 175 hospitals for gastrointestinal care.
