Woman sings opera with new teeth and jaw

All she wanted for Christmas were her bottom teeth. And her wish has come true.  Earlier this year Mayo Clinic treated an opera singer who had to have her entire lower jaw and teeth removed due to an infection.  Not only would Susan Taborn have to undergo major surgery – her singing career was in jeopardy. Amazingly, Mayo Clinic doctors were able to reconstruct the lower half of her face using her fibula. Fast forward to now: She looks great and is feeling better. The real kicker is that she’s singing again, and just in time for the holidays. We captured this footage of her singing White Christmas just yesterday: Download .MOV video of her singing and interview of her describing her ordeal.  Instructions-To download these two MOV files, right click on the .mov and then it will say, Save Target As. After you see that,  save the file to your preferred location. DO NOT WORRY IF THE VIDEO IN THE SCREEN DOES NOT PLAY, THAT IS NOT THE VIDEO YOU WILL BE WORKING WITH.

More detail-After this opera singer noticed something on her chin and asked her dentist to take an x-ray, they found an ossifying fibroma that had taken over all of her lower jaw. Susan Taborn needed to have her entire lower jaw and most of her bottom teeth removed. Mayo Clinic doctors and surgeons used her fibula to construct a new jaw. Susan now received a new set of bottom teeth, just in time for Christmas!  Download the video in which she sings, White Christmas and her video interview in which she describes her ordeal.
