Mayo Clinic Minute: Who Should Be Screened for Lung Cancer?
Every year in the United States, more people die of lung cancer than colon, prostate, ovarian and breast cancers combined. The good news is that screening for lung cancer saves lives. The question is: who should be screened? In a recent study, Mayo Clinic researchers found that the current Preventive Services Task Force guidelines for lung cancer screening may not include enough high-risk people.
