In addition to the Arizona ranking, Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., earned the No. 2 overall spot nationally on U.S. News & World Report's Honor Roll of America's Best Hospitals.  Mayo Clinic also took the No. 1 spot in Minnesota and the No. 1 rank in the Jacksonville, Fla., area.

“This honor underscores our long-standing commitment to provide the highest quality care that best meets our patients’ needs,” says John Noseworthy, M.D., Mayo Clinic president and CEO. “We owe our success to a staff that dedicates themselves daily to this shared mission.”

There are many external agencies that rate quality in health care, and Mayo Clinic is top ranked for quality by more well-known national assessment organizations than any other academic medical center in the nation.
