Mayo Clinic Representative Named to Destination Medical Center Corporation Board

Mayo Clinic is announcing that Bill George, a member of the Mayo Clinic Board of Trustees and former Chairman and CEO of Medtronic, has accepted the appointment to be Mayo Clinic’s representative on the Destination Medical Center Corporation (DMCC) Board.
Mayo Clinic President and CEO John Noseworthy, M.D., says,“Bill George brings a wealth of experience to the DMCC, having led one of the most respected global medical companies in the world. Bill’s experience and expertise will be a critical asset to the work of helping shape the DMC vision and building the exciting future of Rochester and Mayo Clinic in Minnesota.”
Dr. Noseworthy added,“As we embark on this important long-term economic development initiative for Minnesota, it’s important that the appropriate governance structure is in place to oversee the Destination Medical Center-related projects. The skills and expertise brought to the board by those appointed today by Gov. Dayton and Mayo Clinic complement the strengths of the local appointees already in place.
