As the federal government struggles with the nation’s fiscal crisis and looks for solutions to financial challenges in health care, Mayo Clinic is offering to share expertise in proven cost-saving, patient-centered solutions. John Noseworthy, M.D., President and CEO, Mayo Clinic, has written to President Obama and Congressional leaders saying that for nearly 150 years we have delivered team-based care, and patients have greatly benefitted from our “bench-to-bedside” translational approach to clinical research. Dr. Noseworthy adds, "We are on the front lines of redefining the science of health care and stand ready to help come up with common-sense solutions to improve our health care system."
