Karen Teaser has always led a very active lifestyle outdoors. A former lifeguard, Teaser, who resides in Iowa and winters in Arizona with her husband Jim, spent years out on the water and relaxing in the sun.
After being diagnosed with basal cell skin carcinoma a little over two years ago, Karen came to Mayo Clinic in Arizona, where she received both Moh's and reconstructive surgery on her nose.
Karen is now on a mission to help people of all ages learn the perils of too much sun exposure.
