Mayo Clinic ranked top hospital in Florida by U.S. News & World Report
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Once again, Mayo Clinic has been named the best hospital in Florida and the Jacksonville metro area in U.S. News & World Report's annual "Best Hospitals" rankings published July 28. In this year's rankings, Mayo Clinic in Florida tied for the No. 1 spot in the state.

"The ranking reflects the dedication of our staff and the outstanding quality of care at Mayo Clinic. It is a testament to our unique system of care that has been continuously refined for more than 150 years."
Mayo Clinic in Florida ranked nationally among the top 50 hospitals in seven specialties:
- Cancer
- Diabetes and Endocrinology
- Gastroenterology (GI) and GI Surgery
- Geriatrics
- Gynecology
- Neurology and Neurosurgery
- Urology
Mayo also was highly ranked in Nephrology, Orthopedics, and Pulmonology and Lung Surgery.
Mayo Clinic in Florida provides diagnosis, medical treatment, surgery and care for more than 119,000 patients each year in 40 specialty areas. Mayo, which has more than 7,000 staff members in Florida, contributes $2 billion annually to the Florida economy.

Mayo Clinic Hospital ― Rochester in Rochester, Minnesota, is the best hospital in the country on U.S. News & World Report's "Best Hospitals" rankings. Mayo Clinic in Rochester also is No. 1 in Minnesota. Mayo Clinic in Arizona is No. 1 in Arizona and the Phoenix metro area.

This is the 31st year that U.S. News & World Report conducted its "Best Hospitals" rankings. These rankings encompass 16 medical specialties. U.S. News & World Report analyzes data for 5,000 medical centers to determine the rankings.
