Bringing the Social Media Revolution to Health Care is a new book to help health care professionals use social media tools for promoting health, fighting disease and improving health care. Introduced by the Mayo Clinic Center for Social Media the book features essays by 30 industry thought leaders offering inspiration and encouragement to both newcomers and experienced users of social media.
“When it comes to changing health care, we must crowd-source the change we want to see in the world,” says Farris Timimi, M.D. (@FarrisTimimi), the center’s medical director. Center director, Lee Aase (@LeeAase), adds, “We hope to inspire our peers so they apply these tools and work more effectively on behalf of — and with — patients.”
A section about legal issues in health care social media is authored by Mayo legal counsel Dan Goldman (@danielg280).
