At the bottom of each story on Sharing Mayo Clinic you will note a toolbar that looks like this:
These icons represent social networking, sharing and news sites you can use to pass along interesting posts to your friends and family. From left to right, the sites are Facebook, Digg, Delicious, StumbleUpon, Reddit, Blinklist, Ma.gnolia, Technorati, Furl, and Newsvine.
Because Facebook is the most widely used social networking site, with more than 150 million active users, here as an example is a brief video that illustrates how you can use the toolbar to share Sharing Mayo Clinic posts with your friends and family through Facebook.
As the video illustrates, you can either send the post to specific Facebook friends (in which case they will receive a message from you in their Facebook inboxes) or you can post it to your profile, which makes it available for any of your friends to see.
Please note that to use these sharing services, you need to have established an account. The good news is they're all free. If you don't have a Facebook account, see how you can join and become a Mayo Clinic "fan."
